Disclaimer and Update Policy

I'll take no responsibility whatsoever for the software provided on this page. I didn't write any of the programs you can download here and if something doesn't work out, contact the author or read the readme files that come with those tools first. Also I take no responsibility for the use of these tools. 

Latest releases of useful tools will be put up at the earliest possible moment - but keep in mind that ripping DVDs is no job for a living. I will update the ripping packs whenever new program versions merit a new pack.

All software is being hosted on 2 servers. go.to/doom9 and doom9.net point to one url, doom9.org and doom9.has.it to the other. So whenever you can't download software from your favorite url try the other set of URLs. Keep in mind that unless you get a 404 file not found error you should not report not-working links. 404 means I set a wrong link, a download that aborts prematurely or that doesn't start at all means that the connection to that server is really bad or that the download server is currently down, respectively. Clearly I can't do anything about bad connections or a server that is down.

Rippacks

These packs contain all the software for the corresponding guides. For instance the FlaskMpeg pack contains all software described in the FlaskMpeg guide, etc.

AC3dec - ax filter that does AC3 decoding
AC3dec 0.919 - command line based ac3 decoding
AC3fix 0.3 - fixes corrupt AC3 streams
AC3cutframes - cuts corrupt AC3 frames of an AC3 stream
AviAc3Split - Splitter for AVI/AC3 files
DirectSound 3D - filter to have multichannel sound without AC3 files, requires Graphedit
Graphedit - use your DVD player's direct show filter to extract the audio
PX3Conv 0.2 - AC3 -> WAV conversion with audio normalize
PX3Conv GUI - same as above but with a nice GUI
Synch.zip - little program used to calculate synch values when using secondary synching method 
WAV normalize 0.23 - normalize your WAV files
Wavemp3 1.2 - adds WAV RIFF headers to MP3 files.

Angelpotion codecs 1.07 -Warning: The Angelpotion codec can screw up your system.  
DivX 0.311 alpha - it appears to me that some people don't know what CTRL-F is... so learn!!!
DivX 0.311 VKI - a patch to make DivX VKI by default.
SMR codecs

Descrambling / Ripping tools

cladDVD 1.7 min - a GUI for VobDec, but vobdec.exe is already contained in the package
DeCSS Plus 1.0 - the mother of all keysearchers
DOD Speed Ripper 1.1 - I suggest you use VobDec instead since this tool fails on some DVDs
DVD Decrypter 2.2- the best and most versatile ripper
Quintuplet 2000 - DVD Ripper based on VobDec source - has a nice GUI. 
SmartRipper 2.10 - another DVD Ripper, offers many neat options that no other ripper has
VobDec 0.311+ - the successor of DeCSS
VobDec GUI 3.1 - the best GUI for VobDec
Vobrator 0.2 - even another rip program, also offers some special features like pcm dts conversion or pcm extraction.
vStrip 0.5d_css - even older version
vStrip 0.6c_css - old version but needed for the GUI to work
vStrip 0.6f_css - the essential VOB tool, you can't find any better in VOB handling AND decryption
