VFAPI Reader Codec

This nice little software by the author of TMPEGEnc allows you to create a kind of pseudo AVI of various file types, among them TMPG's project files and DVD2AVIs project files. To set it up simply run the vifpset.bat file.

Start the program and press Add Job, then select the source d2v file.

Actually this application supports audio.. so once DVD2AVI adds AC3 decoding we may be able to frameserver video and audio. Chose your output filename, then press OK and after that press Convert. You'll now have a very small AVI file that you can load in any encoding program. The neat thing is that this really is a fully valid AVI file.. it will be like there were an actual AVI in uncompressed format on your harddisk.. so you can do multipass VBR encoding, IVTC and whatever else you like to do with it.
